If you want to get into sports this summer, then I can recommend that you try Frisbee. I got an opportunity to enjoy this sport during the Nestea Fit Camp Hot, which unfortunately ended already last March 27. Good thing I found out that there is a Frisbee clinic starting soon at the Ateneo High School Field, the Heads Up! Quezon City Ultimate Open 2010.

See the details below according to their posters:
  • Registration Fee is only Php 600, inclusive of player's kit (contains official event disc, jersey plus other goodies).
*Sample of the official event disc included on the player's kit

*Sample jersey for this year's ultimate open
  • Clinic schedule for beginners are on Saturdays of April 10, 17 & 24, 2010 (2pm-6pm) with tournament games for both Novice & Open/Invitational categories on the weekend of May 1 & 2 (8am-6pm).
  • Open to all interested players 12 years old and above, with members from the Philippine Ultimate Association (PUA) to train and coach all participants.
  • Cash prizes, trophies and medals await the top teams for both categories
    • 1st Place: Php 15,000 cash
    • 2nd Place: Php 10,000 cash
    • 3rd Place: Php 5,000 cash
  • Register now by sending full name, home/mobile nos. & email address via 0922-8366486 or via headsup.qcultimate@yahoo.com or visit at their office at 11th Floor, City Administrator's Office, Quezon City Hall
  • [Latest Update] To all would-be participants & those who registered early: to further secure your registration slot, ADVANCED PAYMENTS can now be made through... (BPI) account no. 3109-1010-43 Mark Hector Navarra (savings) -kindly either scan ur deposit slip & email to headsup.qcultimateopen@yahoo.com or, bring them on April 10, 2010 in Ateneo to claim your kit. -remember, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED! :-)
I believe the registration fee is reasonably priced at Php 600 given that it comes with a disc already, which is imported from the US and manufactured by the best known brand in frisbee disc, Discraft. I remember I bought my disc at Toby's for Php 895, so I must say that it is really a good deal especially for beginners. I can also attest that you will be trained by the best coaches in frisbee as PUA members also trained us during our frisbee clinic with Nestea.

So what are you waiting for, register already and see you during the clinic. :)
