The critically acclaimed broadway musical, Cats, will be staged in Manila starting this July 24 until August 15. It will be help at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, CCP. Cats is Broadway musical based on "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" by T.S Elliot and music from the well known Andrew Lloyd Webber. Filipino fans will can watch a matinee performance every Saturday (3:00PM) or Sunday (2:30PM) or evening performances every Tuesday to Thursday at8:00PM and on Sunday at 7:30PM. I am really excited to watch this play because our very own Lea Salonga will play the role of Grizabella and sing the trademark song of the musical, which is "Memory". I haven't seen Lea perform on stage so if ever this will be my chance. I just hope she will be the one performing when I watch the show.
Filipinos will not have to book a flight to New York or London just to witness great musical. I really hope I can watch this and this will be even better to the plays I watched in Broadway and in the West end. :)
