Final Reminders for Adidas KOTR 2011

If you're still up like me and excited about the Adidas KOTR 2011, here are some reminders:

There has been a change in the route for 16.8K runners. I'm really excited yet worried about the new race course. Hope I can really finish it tomorrow!

Here's the map as well on the venue. As you may observe there is a different place for the starting line and finish line. It looks like a lot of sponsors will be there as well to hype up the event for the runners after their momentous finish!

Blogapalooza: An epic event for bloggers where everybody is a winner!

Last September 17, you might have noticed that most of your favorite bloggers in the country are either not online or on mobile internet tweeting and updating their status with a lot of items. Don't worry they are not kidnapped by some mafia or anti-blogger organization but they are there to witness a 1st ever event for bloggers and businesses as well known as ... Blogapalooza.

Blogapalooza? Definitely not for Loser
You might be wondering what is Blogapalooza and might notice my badge for quite some time already. It is not similar to the kissing event held every Feb. 14 at Roxas Boulevard. Blogapalooza is a community and a blogger event on crack! It provides a venue for bloggers and businesses to meet together to share to the growing online community something that will interest them and their readers and friends.

From a list of bloggers all over the country that applied, only 150 bloggers or social media influencers were invited to witness this epic event. For sure one of your favorite bloggers was present to share with you the different places, services, products or activities that you can try out.

This event is something new for bloggers as well because normally we only attend seminars, launches and event but not to this extent where we get to spend the entire Saturday afternoon meeting  and hearing all the buinesses 


BusinessES Galore!
Yes, you read it right that there's an ES because over 50 partners, sponsors and presenters who make themselves available for us bloggers. The businesses ranges from a anti-virus, food, spa, gadgets, accessories, clothes, vitamins, fitness services, recreational activities and a whole lot more. The event definitely fit my blog (kahitanoito) as it captures the different readers of my blog as well. 
At exactly 1PM, Vince Golangco of WhenInManila.com, the brains behind this event, kick-off the Blogapalooza event. The seats at Fully Booked are all occupied with bloggers eagerly waiting for the businesses to present their products and might even get to try it first-hand. Here's some who presented during the event:

Avira - A new anti-virus software in the market. It is really fit for bloggers like us or even ordinary users who are annoyed being attacked by virus, worms and trojan horses. I like that they even have a "pre-paid" card type of card suitable for on-the-go generation of today.

Lay Bare - Say goodbye to your unwanted hair, wherever it may be? Lay Bare provides a smooth alternative on removing your unwanted hair. Men or women can visit lay bare and they can offer you with service to remove the hair that keeps on ruining your face or fashion statement. A friend of mine is an avid customer of Lay Bare of waxing her legs and she can attest that they are really good on this.

360°  Fitness Club - For all health buff out there, if you are tired with the usual cardio or weight exercises on your traditional gym, the you should try this circuit training. I long heard about this new concept on getting fit and I'm really excited to try it out. I used to spend hours on the gym but with 360 , you only need to spend 30 minutes or to achieve a good body. Watch-out for my blog post on it.

Human Nature - Another environmental friendly cosmetic brand is Human Nature. My sister also have some of their products like their lip balm and she told me that it is really good.

Big K Imaging - During the event a roaming photographer is walking around and taking pictures of bloggers around. Well this is the concept of Big K Imaging defying the usual photo booth concept by having a walking photographer and at his back your picture is printed immediately. Now you don't have to settle with the tarpaulin backdrop at events for your pictures.

JapOK - It's a Japanese na patok for every Juan. Now, Japanese food is being brought closer to the ordinary Juan with JapOK. They have a wide array of menu for customers to enjoy and they are open 24 hours.

Matabungkay Beach Resort - Want to rest and escape the stressful metro? Or have a teambuilding activity with your officemates? Then you might want to try Matabungkay Beach Resort which is located in Lian, Batangas!

Galileo - For all parents out there, you might want to improve the grades of your kid at school or better yet advance his studies and aim for A+ every grading quarter. Galileo provides a new way of learning techniques for him to enjoy. I heard some of my colleagues enrolled their kids at Galileo and it really helped their kids improve their grades. Watch-out I might raffle my Galileo GC out there...

Tree Hugger - As the name of the company/product implies, it is really hugging and loving the tree with its environmentally friendly materials used to create their writing instruments. I really like the idea of this company of earning but still not forgetting to care about our nature. :)

Sofitel Hotel - I know a lot of you might be familiar with Sofitel Hotel. I usually been privileged to visit this hotel everytime our company have events or when my friends/family decided to treat ourselves at Spiral. I can say that the hotel is truly majestic especially overlooking at Manila Bay is really refreshing. I think all of you can't deny the magnificent Spiral restaurant stuffing hungry Juan with top-notch food at an affordable price for a hotel buffet. How I wish I can try to stay at this hotel and wake up with a great morning mist from the sunrise of Manila Bay... I hope to be a hotel ambassador and try it out for my readers to know as well. Many international bands/artists stayed here during their visit, then for sure it is really good.

Easy Pha-max - The wheat grass phenomenon is in nowadays as people get more conscious about getting fit and living a healthier lifestyle. Easy Pha-max brings back the wealth in your health with their line of products. I have more detailed blog post about their products and how you can earn from it as well. Watch-out for my blog post on this soon.

Fashion ART (FART) - Their company might seem to smell not nice but its actually the opposite of the designs that they create. They have interesting design especially for women out there. For fashion artists/photographers, you can even use their store as a concept of your shoot just like what others did before.

Lazer Xtreme - I personally love this new recreational activity. Even before attending this launch, me and my friends would play at their Market, Market branch for lazer tag. For those who are not aware what it is, Lazer Tag is similar to paint ball where you have to shoot your opponent to score. However, since you are using lazer then you don't have to worry about getting hurt. In just 15 minutes, you wouldn't imagine how exciting this game could be.

Freestyle Ballers -  A young business tycoon is on the making with Nathan Flores as he shared with us his business. He is still a student on UA&P but he already think of how to create money and still be happy. His product is about ballers and some cool watches that can just clamp on your wrist. It's very trendy and they are available in different colors for one to enjoy.

Tripologie - You might be a businessman, backpacker or a casual woman in style but all of you needs a bag that could fit your lifestyle. I really find the presentation of tripologie very interactive and their bag design are really trendy and hip. Hope I can have some soon. See my post about Tripologie soon.

Healthy First - During the event, bloggers were treated with a refreshing healthy drink from Healthy First. I was able to get the Mango and Carrot combination and I didn't expect it to be really great.

CreatiVoices - I never heard that there's such a place for you to enhance voice talent. So if you have passion to be next voice talent over the radio or television, then CreatiVoices is the one you are looking for.

Sparkle - A very refreshing and new spa in the South is up. Sparkle offers rebonding treatment and also spa treatment for everybody. My dad was able to try their massage services and he is satisfied plus with the great ambiance of the new spa is really a good spa to try.

Size Matters - A lot of women are asking "Does size matters?". Well, in terms of food it should really matter. I think a lot of women and also men enjoyed the great burgets and sausages brought by Size Matters. I also like that they have witty names for their burgers. See more on my blog post on this.


Aquabest -  Water is Life and Aqua Best proves that this is true. They are providing business opportunities for people out there as well.

Regatta, Memo, For Her (Golden ABC) - Some of my favorite clothing brands are also there at the Blogapalooza. I really liked Regatta simple and casual design with their collared shirts that is very comfortable to wear. On the other hand, they also have Memo to suit my "Yuppie" lifestyle during weekdays at work. For girls, they also have For Her which aside from clothes they are also offering perfumes for their clients.

Farmer John - Filipinos love muching potato chips but one thing stops them is the price. Good thing a new snack is out in the market by the name of Farmer John. It is very affordable and tasty too. We bring some during our trip in Korea and we really enjoyed the tasty and crunchy bite of this chip.

Oryspa - Now bran doesn't only equate to food or being healthy...it can also be equated to beauty. Oryspa is not actually a spa service but a beauty brand. They have different beauty products made from rice bran.

Phiten - Feeling weak and need that balanced energy to give out your best? You might need to wear these Phiten or Rukawa necklaces to boost your energy. A lot of athletes have tried this product and they really proved to have increased their energy or game play due to this product.

Polecats Manila - Pole dancing is the new trend of dancing and getting fit. During the event, members of Polecats Manila showed us their dancing prowess in the poles. I couldn't imagine myself doing such acrobats as I would just look like a lechon in a pole (hehe). But seriously, for ladies out there you might want to try this very sexy and seductive way to get fit.

Chana - A new brand of automobile that could fit the tight budget of Filipinos is up with Chana. It has a very competitive price especially for the Filipino market and size that is convenient and could be used for personal purposes or business as well. Bloggers were provided free ride courtesy of Chana after the event.

Shopinas.com - Online business is the emerging platform to start your own business but it might seem hard to start especially for non-techie entrepreneurs out there. Good thing Shopinas.com is there to provide an easy and secure shopping convenience not only to the businessmen but also to the consumers as well. I personally is very hesitant transacting via online given the security threats and theft happening but I must say Shopinas.com is quite a reputable platform for us to use. During the event, the CEO herself was there to grace the bloggers about the service of their Shopinas.com. If you're an avid fan of PBA, you might also heard of Shopinas.com as the newest member of the league. I would want to interview their team franchise as well soon.

Blue Water Day Spa - Relaxation can have a new entry in the Thesaurus with Blue Water Day Spa. I personally was able to try their services at their Greenhills branch and I was impressed with their facilities and courteous staff. There's also a large viewing room where you can watch a movie while having a foot massage. Now that's total relaxation right!

HTC - The last presenter during the event, definitely not the least as well, will make a great sensation on your techie thumb and will make you go forward and back as you dance your Cha-Cha to the great functionalities of these 2 mobile phones. I'm talking about 2 phones that was shown to us from HTC...HTC Sensation and HTC Cha-Cha. They are running the famous Android platform for a a top-notch quality software. HTC Sensation provides an amazing speed with its fast processor plus camera and wide screen. I was also amazed when the presented from HTC incidentally dropped the phone but still it is ok. He even scratched the screen with his keys and still not a speck of bruise can be seen. The HTC Cha-cha on the other hand provides a great feature on having an instant access to Facebook with its special button. Now you can update your status with one touch. What can I say...simply amazing!

Too bad Papa John's wasn't able to do their presentation personally because I've been waiting for them. I've first tasted their pizza when I was in Guangzhou for a work-related trip and I enjoyed my experience with their tasting pizza. I was so full after and every time I travel in GZ, I always stop by to eat at this resto. I never tried their pizza here in Manila and would really love to try it.


Aesthetic Science unfortunately wasn't able to attend as well but I heard great reviews from Vince and Hannah from the services that they were able to try from this clinic. I actually realized their clinic is just in front of our office and I'm excited to try the services that they can offer for me. Hope they can give me a free trial. 
Is this the end?
It was already past 6PM when the event comes to a close. All of the bloggers enjoyed the event  and some even take away prizes with the raffle during the event. Too bad, I'm really unlucky with raffle that I wasn't able to bring some of those stuff. But all bloggers did not leave empty handed, aside from the new products/services they learned and friends gained, they also got to take home bag"S" of goodies from sponsors. Bloggers were even treated with shuttle service to EDSA courtesy of Chana from the venue (Fully Booked).


I would like to congratulate first of all Mr. Vince Golangco of WhenInManila.com for coming up with this kind of event. I really love his vision of coming up with such kind of opportunity which is a win-win for both businesses and bloggers as well. I hope this will not be the end of this blogapalooza activity. I would also like to thank Azrael Coladilla of AzraelsMerryland.Blogspot.com for sharing about this event. I would be really envious if I missed this event. Thanks as well to the sponsors for sharing their time to us to better understand their products and services for us to relay to our avid fans and readers as well. I really do hope businesses will further appreciate the success of Blogapalooza 1 and come up with more and more Blogapalooza events soon.You might not know, I might be the next speaker inviting bloggers as well on my business.
