Most of the time a lot of us skip breakfast as we hurry up on our to work. Same scenario is being experienced with lunch time as we normally have the ordinary fast food meals so we can get back on our work and finish everything by 1pm. However, almost all Filipinos will definitely agree that we at least make it a point that it should be the most special meal of the day since we are all together during this time.

Good news as our Max's Restaurant collaborates with a Masterchef to make your dinner special!

Max’s Restaurant has brought authentic Filipino cuisine to the forefront. It has established the presence of heirloom dishes like its “sarap-to-the-bones” Fried Chicken, Kare-Kare, Sinigang, Crispy Pata and Pancit Canton in almost every Filipino celebration. BYO Cup Day Philippines taken during the launch
Brainfreeze
This is the term we grew up with whenever I see 7-11 stores. A visit in 7-11 will not be complete without having their famous frozen beverage brand called Slurpee. I can still remember how I will fill up my cup and sometimes combine flavors to make that perfect concoction. I'm like an Einstein mixing the right formula to make the best "brain freeze" experience.

Your brain freeze experience will be a lot better as 7-Eleven will bringing in something what they did in Australia. They did something ingeniously fun and wacky that sent people rushing to the convenience store chain with their teapots, canisters and even wheelbarrow, to be filled with Slurpee... the Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup Day.
Famous bloggers present during BYO Cup Day Philippines launch

When I was invited for the launch, I initially thought that 7-Eleven will just be coming out to be more environmentally friendly but already remembered that they are using paper cups. I was surprised that they are doing this outrageous promotion. During the launch, famous bloggers attended the event and brought their most out-of-the-box container to fill up with the world famous Slurpee. Bloggers even joined contest to be the first to finish up a cup of Slurpee.
BYO Cup Day Philippines Mechanics
How does it work?
Customers are encouraged to bring the craziest cups they can think of. Anything that can be filled is fair game provided that it follows the rules. As long as the "cup" in question is hygienic, watertight, fixed in shape and size and able to fit the "MaCUPangyarihang Bilog" (very witty name indeed), customers can fill to the brim with Slurpee. Be warned, however: Brainfreeze may occur.

When it will happen? How much is it?
The Philippines' first ever Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup day happens on November 7, 2013. For only Php 29 (yes, no typo there it is really that cheap), anyone can use the craziest "cups" they can get their hands on.
Here are some samples that you can bring for the BYO Cup Day Philippines
Wait there's more...
On Slurpee BYO Cup Day customers who participate can upload their photos with their craziest cups in the online contest Photos can be posted on 7-Eleven's social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for a chance to win cash prizes. Be sure to use the hashtag #BYOCupDay to keep tabs of the Slurpee madness this coming November 7.

Dear Santa (a.k.a AirAsia Zest),

I think I have been nice this year that's why I'm writing you a letter in the hope that you can read this and grant my wish list this year. As you may have known, I'm not a small kid anymore so my wish list is not something your elves can create such as toys or candies. Instead, since I'm a big boy now I have a "Destination" Wish List which hopefully you can grant. Here's my list:

Cebu
I wanted to visit this place as you might have heard some of fellow Juan have been hit by an earthquake earlier this week. I wanted to fly so I can also reach out and be of help on the outreach drive happening on this location. I want to give back the kindness/blessings showered to me this year.
I will not hypocrite, aside from helping, I also want to visit the majestic places that is within this province. I want to visit the Magellan's cross and at the same time the Sto. Nino at their Basilica. I heard there are also great beaches that I can explore on this region so it will really be great to visit those places.
As a food lover, who wouldn't want to take a piece of that crunchy lechon skin that you can hear cracking at almost every corner of this province match that with a dessert of either crunchy Otap (think of it like a crunchier version of the latest trending food Cronuts) or the world's famous dried mangoes.

Puerto Princesa
I want to visit this place as I've never been here. :( I really hope to be here as I heard its great plus as a Filipino and never to visit the another New Wonder of World Underground River is such a shame. I want to relax on the powder-like beach sand that they have.

Davao
I wanted to go here as I heard from my mother that we do have long-lost relatives on this province. I visited it once but only for a short period of time so not enough to really pay a visit to my relatives. Hopefully this time around I can be able to roam the city and meet them.
Last time I was here I also failed to see the Philippine Eagle and also climb the majestic Mount Apo. I want to take pictures of these 2 nature's gift to Davaoeneos and have a picture with and on it.

Incheon, South Korea
I was able to visit this place during my Silver Birthday celebration and it was so nice. I really love the place and would like to further check other destinations that I failed to visit when I was there.
I think this time I will go to visit their Lotte World theme park as an amusement park-lover myself. If you knew me well, you will know that even I'm a big kid already I always ensure that I visit an amusement park during my birthday. I tried Everland theme park last time I was there so might good to visit the Lotte World this time. I want also to go to their Olympic Stadium as an athletic person myself as well. I would also love to visit Nami Island again and this time ride a bike around the island.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Last time I was here with my family, we were only at this place for 16 hours. We had to squeeze in out time to be able to have picture at Petronas, visit their Chinatown and then off to the airport. :(
This time around, I wanted to visit KL and explore it more. I failed to get on top of Petronas tower last time so hopefully I can now line up early and be able to see the view of KL while on top of Petronas.
I heard that there's a new amusement park (as I've mentioned I love visiting amusement park) called Legoland in KL. I would really love to visit this place as I've seen it only on TV or pictures. I also have childhood memories as I remember you gave me a kid Santa a Lego as a toy since I've been nice that year (and even the years after it).

As much as you want to offer your sleigh to grant my wish, I am deeply concerned with Rudolph and the reindeer's health and safety. On top of that, I know there are other kids that will be waiting on their fireplace so I don't want to lose your focus on those other "good" kids that they will not get their presents because of me. Don't worry you can still grant my wish as AirAsia, the world’s 5-time best low cost airline according to Skytrax has synergized forces with Zest Air.

Yes, you read it right that AirAsia and Zest Air partnered together and they have a new brand name with this collaboration...AirAsia Zest! If you are worried you don't have budget to give me my wish list, that is not a problem as they may now take me to my destination at affordable prices. Now, I can be able to "Travel in the Philippines" or better yet "Travel in Asia with AirAsia".

No need to worry that I have to travel all the way to Clark to catch flights with Air Asia because "AirAsia Zest flies from Manila". You and Mrs. Claus don't need to be trapped in North Pole because you can travel from Manila to exciting destination in the Philippines like "Cebu, Davao, Kalibo (Boracay), Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, Cagayan De Oro" where you can really feel It's more Fun in the Philippines. If that is not enough, you can also visit some of PH's Asian neighbors such as "Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Shanghai, Incheon". All of these flights are accessible on their "AirAsia Zest, NAIA Terminal 4" terminal.

I really do cross my fingers you can grant my wish. I'll be leaving my Christmas socks and hope one day when I wake up it will be filled by an AirAsia Zest tickets to the destination wish list of my choice.

Your nice kid,

Why would I swap for a Foton? WHY NOT!

Yes, you read it right. My answer is 2 words WHY NOT. Well, it does not end up there. It does have a deeper meaning. Let me show you some reasons why I would dare to swap my old car and Foton (put-on) my money on this car.

W - Wide space
MPX ensures enough space and seats

Especially for us Filipinos, we love to bring our friends and family together on our car and even at that small time frame travelling we make quality time with them. With Foton, it would be now possible for everyone to have this luxury as this car maker especializes in creating cars with huge sizes. Now, it wouldn't be a problem anymore for an ordinary Juan to fit his family on a sedan if they Foton. Since it is large enough, Filipinos can also be environmetally friendly with this car as one can implement car pooling given the huge space it can accommodate. For most Filipinos, who also use their vehicle to generate income, Foton will also be a big plus with its size comes additional passenger it can bring to every route.
H - Heavy-Duty

In buying car, I invest a lot of my hard-earned saving to purchase one. In that sense, it will be important that investment like cars should be something that will last over time. It will be a sad to see that what you invested will just be put into waste if the car will usually break down or will easily not be of usage with its useful life. It will really be important to get a car that is heavy-duty.
Y - Yield Extra Income

Foton can now claim the line "Di lang pampamilya, pang-negosyo pa". With the line of vehicles from Foton, if I would like to get a car that will also be used for business, then it will not be a problem. It's Passenger Vehicle line will have an array of variants that can fit the need whatever extra business you are thinking to be an additional usage for your car. The Thunder and Blizzard variant has a great pick-up design while their MP-X and View variants will be very usable for UV Express type of service or Bus Service. Juan like me should not be practical investment nowadays and should maximize the value of my investment. Foton will really be a good fit for this.
N - Nimble
Blizzard staying true to its name

Cars are invented so that one can travel from place to place. Why would you settle for a car that has limited capacity or wouldn't get you up to speed. Good thing as I look on the specs of Foton it seems that I will not have this problem. With it's 2.8L CRDi engine, for sure my car will be able to leverage on our Skyway. It is even better than my old car right now which is running just on a 2.0L engine. I'm now excited to test drive this car and see how I can feel the blazing speed that even Usain Bolt will be amazed.
- Outstanding (Not only in Cost but Quality as well)
MPX interior is really superb and good

Over-all. I can summarize that Foton is good company maker I can choose to replace my old car. Sometimes, we are just 'hyped' with brand names and that goes even with cars. I'm actually amazed with Foton to be another brand in the market which made me think to be a good choice to replace my old car, which is now causing me just additional expenses and drinking up gasoline with every ride. Aside from that, it also has the exterior and interior features that is present with the leading car makers in the market such as electronic mirrors, automatic dimming rear views, reverse sensor, remote control power windows, leather seats radio and CD player, Audio Input (good for connecting my iPod). You can even get Foton Smart Tracker or Smart Navi to make it really superb. On top of that, safety is also not left behind with this car, you can feel that you are really safe with its 3-point  seatbelts, dual airbags system and drum/disc brakes to name a few. If that does not convince you, you will also be impressed with how the car looks like. Who would think it is priced competitively.

T - Trade-ins accepted!

What is even good, I don't have to worry find a buyer for my old car. It is very convenient that Foton can accept trade in. Just imagine how hassle free it will be for me and other car owners to purchase a car without worrying how to dispose your old one. One should definitely take advantage of this offer during their Big show.
