It is time of the year that Starbucks fans have been waiting for. Starting today (November 3, 2010), Starbucks launched their most awaited Limited Edition 2011 Starbucks Planner up for grabs. In line with this, they launched the comeback of their Starbucks Holiday featured beverages namely; Praline Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte, and Peppermint Mocha. I love their new red cups this holiday season.

The 2011 planners comes in 3 versions/colors this year. It has the same contents but the outer covering is just the one that differs. The red one has the same texture as felt paper, similar to one of the planners last year. The brown version of the planner has a "woody" design and texture, which I believe is targeted for men. The last one, which comes in silver color, has a bit glossy /metallic feeling. I was informed that the planners still comes with Starbucks coupons but unfortunately it is not attached on the sample planners on the counter. However, I was informed that more treats awaits for us this year.

Fortunately, I was in the 6750 building earlier to pick-up something at my other office when I was able to drop by and get my Grande Praline Mocha Frappuccino served by my courteous and cheerful barista Anne. It was their first day of the promo and lucky for me that they have a raffle for the day and they are giving away 5 planners at their 6750 branch only. I could not wait the raffle tonight but hopefully I win. I was informed that there are 2 versions of the Starbucks Christmas tradition cards (red and white). They are giving the white version of the Starbucks Christmas tradition cards for their first few customers since it includes a sticker for FREE, so that's one less Starbucks Core beverage for you to purchase. I suggest you get your card now so you can avail of this limited edition card (white version).

Here are the complete mechanics for this year for the Starbucks Christmas Traditions 2010:

  1. A customer can avail of a Starbucks Christmas Traditions Promo card from November 3, 2010 to January 5, 2011 with no purchase required.
  2. One sticker is awarded for each Starbucks beverage purchase. Holder must accumulate a total of seventeen (17) stickers, to redeem one (1) Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner
    • Holiday Featured Beverages - 9 stickers
      • choice of any of the following: Toffe Nut Latte, Peppermint Mocha and Praline Mocha  - hot, iced or Frappuccino blended beverages
    • Any Starbucks core beverage of your choice EXCEPT bottled drinks, bottled water and fruit juices - 8 stickers
    • TOTAL: 17 stickers
  3. Purchase of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew will entitle the customer to a sticker for the core beverage category. One sticker is earner for a 3-pack Starbucks Ready Brew and 3 stickers for a 12-pack.
  4. Customer should present the Starbucks Christmas Traditions card to the barista upon purchase to get the corresponding number of stickers. Stickers will be handled out with the receipt at date and point of purchase only. A no promo card, no sticker, no extension policy will be strictly implemented across all stores. No stickers will be released once the customer leaves the register area.
  5. In case any of the Holiday featured beverage are not available (ec. Toffee Nut), customers can substitute it with any of the remaining holiday featured beverages (Ex. Praline Mocha & Peppermint Mocha). Should all 2 not be available, only then can customers substitute with any espresso-based or Frappuccino Blended Beverage of their choice.
  6. A customer must complete the required number of stickers for each category to qualify for the redemption of one (1) Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner. A combination of up to two (2) promo cards will be allowed, provided that the 9 featured plus 8 core drinks have been purchased.
  7. Once all stickers are completed, customer submits the Starbucks Christmas Tradition Card/s to redeem one (1) Limited Edition Coffee 2011 Planner from any of the participating Starbucks Coffee stores nationwide. Tampering with and/or transferring of stickers to obtain the required number of stickers will render all promo cards null and void.
  8. Due to limited quantities available for each planner design, customers can only choose whatever variant is on hand at the point and time of redemption, on a first come, first served basis.
  9. Transactions with Senior Citizen, Handicapped, VAT Exempt and commuter mug/tumbler discounts are qualified for this promotion. However, complimentary vouchers (ex. Service Recovery Coupons and Customer Voice redemptions) and other discounts (ex. Rustan's discounts and partner discounts) are disqualified to join this promotion.
  10. Promotion starts on November 3, 2010. Stickers may be obtained from November 3, 2010 to January 5, 2011.
  11. Redemption of the Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2011 Planner starts November 3, 2010 up to March 6, 2011, at Starbucks stores in the Philippines only.
                    • Per DTI-NCR Permit No. 4841 Series of 2010
I think it is the same rules as last year. The only thing changed is that with their new product (Starbucks VIA Ready Brew) is also included in the promotion. I really hope I can complete my stickers in a short period of time and complete all the 3 variants of the planners. I missed my Praline Mocha and I'm really happy that they have it back.

What are you waiting for? Get your favorite Christmas flavors and also the limited promo card to lessen the number of stickers to collect!
